Our Mission<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Our mission is to prove to women that they do not have to worry about breast cancer<\/strong>. Mortality from this disease has decreased since the introduction of the screening programme in the Czech Republic<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

One of the main reasons for this success is that more and more women are regularly visiting quality screening centres such as ours. This allows experienced doctors to make a timely diagnosis. \nThis means that the treatment of cancer<\/strong> before it spreads<\/strong> throughout the patient's whole body.<\/p>\n

Over 50,000 women visit our clinic every year, and our doctors diagnose 8 to 12 breast cancers per week. Most of them are found in the early stages<\/strong>when they are still well treatable. We can therefore state that we save several hundred lives each year<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

BREAST UNIT PRAGUE, Mamma centre Opatov<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and Hrad\u010dansk\u00e1<\/strong><\/a>, are clinics specialised in diagnosis of malignant and benign breast diseases<\/strong>The centers received accreditation from the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic for the implementation of mammographic screening right from the beginning of their operation. Our experts, under the leadership of MUDr. Miroslava Skovajsov\u00e1 Ph.D.<\/strong> provide expert advice to women during illness and after treatment.<\/strong>We also offer a care to all the healthy women<\/strong> with a higher personal or family susceptibility to developing cancer.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

For whom we are here:<\/h2>\n<\/div>

We are here for everyone who takes their health seriously. The word \"who\" is intentionally used here because breast disease does not discriminate affecting both women and men<\/strong>.
\nWe provide a wide range<\/strong> of breast diagnostics. Healthy women can come to our center for regular check-up, either as part of fully-covered mammography screening by their health insurance or, if they do not meet the age criteria, they can choose to pay for the examination themselves (price list of examinations<\/a>). Most health insurance companies cover regular screening mammography once every two years for women aged 45 and older<\/strong>.
\nWomen and men who already have an existing health concern and the have a referral for diagnostic mammography or other diagnostic or therapeutic procedures<\/strong>(such as biopsy, puncture, etc.) are also welcome for examination. Additionally, we also provide consultation services.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The BREAST UNIT PRAGUE facilities were established in accordance with standard requirements of the European Society of Mastology<\/strong> (EUSOMA) and Europa Donna<\/strong> for the operation of screening units. The facilities are equipped with the latest<\/strong> mammographic and sonographic technology with all necessary connections<\/strong>. The professional and organizational guarantor is a pioneer in Czech breast screening and integrated breast diagnostics, MUDr. Miroslava Skovajsov\u00e1, Ph.D.
\nOther experts in breast diagnostics with years of experience include MUDr. Jana Fr\u00fdbov\u00e1, MUDr. Jana \u017d\u00ed\u017ealov\u00e1, MUDr. Ida Topolov\u00e1, and others who specialize in breast diagnostics.<\/strong>All the doctors have extensive experience in performing interventional breast procedures. This includes routine biopsies, sample collection under stereotactic control, and marking the surgical field before surgery. They also routinely assess the effects of chemotherapy<\/strong> in patients treated in the so-called neoadjuvant regimen. They use sonography to evaluate the quality of breast implants in women who have undergone breast augmentation and assess various conditions following aesthetic breast procedures.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
